Zack is a biologist, photojournalist, photo editor and writer originally from Upstate, NY, now based in Washington, DC. 

His primary interests focus on telling stories about the unique organisms and ecosystems of the world and the connections they have with the human cultures which depend on them. 

He is also interested in working with environmentally conscious communities, environmentally exploited communities and exploring the connections between people and current climate topics.

While in D.C., he covers political and public events and breaking news.

Zack holds an M.S. in photography from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a B.S. in conservation biology from SUNY Cortland.

Zack is the owner of Zack Bolton Studios LLC.
